During these years at New York University, Yevgeniy provided invaluable guidance through the technical hurdles of my dissertational work, and regular interaction with him helped shaping my approach to research in general. Yevgeniy believed in me from the beginning, and his encouragement greatly helped me maintaining a high motivation through the inevitable ups and downs of the Ph.D. studies.
