She taught both in mainstream schools and in special provision for students with behavioural difficulty. She trained as an educational psychologist in 1987 and worked in London for many years. Sue completed her doctorate in 2000 and is now at the University of Western Sydney in Australia, specializing in behaviour and emotional literacy in education. She is the convenor for Emotional Literacy Australia (www.emotionalliteracy australia.com). Sue also provides international training and consultancy.
