Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. Proverbs 31:8-9 (NIV).

Dedication
T
his book is dedicated to the poor, destitute and impoverished, those who among other things are forced to retire to bed hungry, for lack of resources; to dwell in dilapidated, squalid and appalling homes in filthy, overcrowded and dreadful slum settlements such as Agbogbloshie in Accra, Manila North Cemetery in the Philippines and Ciudad Nez, Mexico City, Mexico; to sleep rough in freezing and biting cold winters on the streets of New York, London, Moscow, etc. You and I can only hope and pray that a day will dawn in the not distant future when mankind will learn to set his priorities right and place the need to undertake immediate steps to rid the world of abject poverty high above that of investing trillions upon trillions of precious US dollars in weapons of mass destruction and research aimed at the discovery of life on far, far distant planets!
