Cornish Language Board, 1990. - 84 p.ForewordThis translation of "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll is part of a Project by the Carroll Foundation of Melbourne, Australia to celebrate the one hundred and twenty fifth Anniversary of this famous children's book, and also 1990 as International Literacy Year by collecting together translations into one hundred and twenty five different languages. I am grateful to Lilian James of Adelaide who drew my attention to it and gave me the opportunity to make this contribution.I am also very grateful to John Richards who provided the drawings at quite short notice and made some valuable suggestions on the verses in the story, and to Dr David Balhatchet who went through the translation with a tooth domb and corrected errors which would have gone unnoticed otherwise. He has kindly given permission for it to be used to help other readers. I am most grateful_ to him. Checking it through with the text and again with David's help has helped bring the text more in line with the Gerlyver Servadow though a complete revision has not' been attempted. "Alys" was originally published before the Gerlyver Servadow became available in 1991. This has been done and the whole book completely retyped by Dr David Balhatchet to whom I am eternally grateful. Inevitably it has been necessary to retain a number of words which do not appear in the Gerlyver Meur so the spelling, and indeed the authenticity of these words are still conjectura .1. There is little doubt that some errors will still remain in spite of careful checking and rechecking.
