FERAL REVOLUTION wr itings of feral faun Feral Revolution: the writings of Feral Faun I compiled this packet for the 2004 Black & Green Anarchist Gathering. Some of these writings have been published in England by Elephant Editions in the book “Feral Revolution”, but this book is rather hard to find in the United States and costs $10. We’re working on publishing a US version of “Feral Revolution” in some form or another, as well as putting all the essays up on our website. All the essays in the Elephant Editions book are here (except for the introduction by Alfredo Bonanno) as well as a number of others, mostly from back issues of Anarchy: A Journal of Desire Armed. There are more Feral Faun essays that we didn’t include, but will soon be available on our webpage. We want to republish and share these writings because they’re rather obscure and we’ve found them to be some of the most insightful, critical and inspiring of the anarchist and anti-civ tendencies. I was the center of this marvelous, playful existence and felt no need to rely on anything but my own living experience to fulfill me. I felt intensely, I experienced intensely, my life was a festival of passion and pleasure. My disappointments and sorrows were also intense. I was born a free, wild being in the midst of a society based upon domestication. There was no way that I could escape being domesticated myself. Civilization will not tolerate what is wild in its midst. But I never forgot the intensity that life could be. I never forgot the vital energy that had surged through me. My existence since I first began to notice that this vitality was being drained away has been a warfare between the needs of civilized survival and the need to break loose and experience the full intensity of life unbound. I want to experience this vital energy again. I want to know the free-spirited wildness of my unrepressed desires realizing themselves in festive play. I want to smash down every wall that stands between me and the intense, passionate life of untamed freedom that I want.
