Controversies in psychology Psychology studies people and the way they behave. Some findings inevitably challenge existing moral, political and religious beliefs, leading to heated debate. Controversies in Psychology examines these debates, particularly those about control and manipulation, and perceived differences between one group of people and another. Philip Banyard is Associate Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University and a Chief Examiner for A level Psychology. Routledge Modular Psychology Series editors: Cara Flanagan is the Assessor for the Associated Examining Board (AEB) and an experienced A-level author. Kevin Silber is Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Staffordshire University. Both are A-level examiners in the UK. The Routledge Modular Psychology series is a completely new approach to introductory level psychology, tailor-made to the new modular style of teaching. Each short book covers a topic in more detail than any large textbook can, allowing teacher and student to select material exactly to suit any particular course or project.
