It has been held that the subconscious part of the mind controls much of the human behaviour. It is also held that most of the ailment of a man are psychological and need psychological treatment. Unfortunately due to lack of research in India, very little work in the field of psychoanalysis has been done so far. Therefore, one has to depend mostly on foreign work in this area. The book has following chapters in it 1. Introductory Survey 2. Evaluation of Freud's Biological Orientation 3. The Ego and Character Structure 4. Unconscious Processes and Repression 5.
