Stewart Martin teaches Modern European Philosophy at Middlesex University. He is currently working on a book on absolute art. Eric Matthews is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at University of Aberdeen. His books include The Philosophy of MerleauPonty (Acumen, 2002) and Merleau-Ponty: A Guide for the Perplexed (Continuum, 2005).
