ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Margaret Austin qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and trained as an apprentice with Hayes, Solicitors. She joined McCann FitzGerald’s construction, planning and environmental law group in 1995. She advises a diverse range of clients on many issues arising in relation to planning and environmental law. She has lectured on construction, planning and environmental law matters in University College Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Institute of Engineers of Ireland and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. Ms Austin is also the secretary of the Irish Environmental Law Association. Donal Buckley is Head of the Environment/Energy Unit, IBEC. He has a BSc and MSc in Chemistry. He is responsible for the policy development, representation of IBEC members and delivery of all training, consultancy and information services to IBEC members on environmental issues.
