I t is full of fun and simple ideas f o r twelve different parties, each with a special theme. I n each party chapter, you'll find an idea f o r an invitation, decorations f o r the table, a party favor and a party hat f o r each guest, and crafts t o make and games t o play a t the party. You will also find an idea f o r an unusual cake that f i t s the party theme, which you and the grown-up helping you plan the party can make together. You can make a wonderful theme party all on your own, but if you want t o include a few inexpensive "store-bought" items with your party favors, you will find some ideas sprinkled into the illustrations. So, have fun planning and preparing f o r your party-and have a great time a t your best birthday party ever! 1" A '5 FOR EACH INVITATION YOU WILL NEEO: a card envelope yellow construction paper TOOLS: scissors, markers, white glue 1 , A- I Cut a hole about 14 by 2 inches (4 x 5 cm) out of -. the upper l e f t side of the front of the envelope. This is the window o f the house invitation. Outline the window with a marker. 1 r 4 d I r rn Draw a door on the front of the envelope. Write your friend's name on the door. (I you fare going t o mail your invitation, make sure the door that you draw is big enough for your friend's name and address.) Open the flap o f the envelope so that it looks like the roof of the house. Cut a chimney out of the construction paper and glue it on the opened flap. I Cut a piece of construction paper big enough t o fit exactly inside the envelope house. Put the paper inside the envelope and draw the faces of the three bears peeking out the window. Take the paper out of the envelope and finish drawing the heads and bodies of the three bears. Next t o the bears, write who the party is for, and where and when it will be. Also write your phone number so your friends can let you know if they can come. L 1 Ask your friends to bring a favorite bear to the pady. Put name tags o n the bears so they don't get mixed up.
